There are many decisions every individual must make as they pertain to life: what school or college should I attend? What career or discipline should I pursue? Should I marry or whom should I marry? Where should I live or work? While all of these decisions are important, yet none rises to the level of the decision you must make regarding this question: "What have you done or what will you do about Jesus Christ?

There are some very basic spiritual truths of life set out in Scriptures that each human being must know. These truths are essential because they dictate where one spends eternity – Heaven or Hell!

The Bible, God's Word, states authoritatively, conclusively, and plainly the following truths:

First, we must acknowledge God as the Creator of everything, and accept our humble position in God's creation.The Bible declares, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)The Psalmist says,"The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods." (Psalm 24:1-2)"The day is Thine, the night also is Thine: Thou hast prepared the light and the sun. Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: Thou hast made summer and winter." (Psalm 74:16-17)

The Psalmist further says of the LORD, "Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before Him: strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength." (Psalm 96:3-7)

"You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created." (Revelation 4:11)

Second, we must recognize that God loved each of us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear our sin and die in our place. "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:16-19)

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (1 John 4)

Third, we must realize that we are sinners. "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Because we are sinners, we are condemned to death. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) This includes eternal separation from God.

"God demonstrates His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Although we cannot understand how, God said our sins were laid upon Jesus and that He died in our place. Jesus became our substitute.

There is only one way to Heaven, and that one and only way is through Jesus Christ. The Bible declares, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." (John 14:6)

Will you accept Jesus Christ today? You may be thinking that because you a good man or woman, when you die you will go to Heaven, or because you are a member of some Church in good standing, because you pay yourtithe, or sing in the choir, or are an usher, or even a Sunday School teacher,that when you die you will go to Heaven. None of those things, as commendable as they may be, will save you from your sin. There are millions of good people in Hell right now as you read this message, because being 'good' is not a prerequisite for Heaven, being a church member is not a prerequisite for Heaven, and neither is death a prerequisite for Heaven. Jesus says that "you must be born again."

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said unto Him, How can a man be when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." (John 3:3-7)

Jesus did not tell Nicodemus you 'should' be born again, or you 'may' be born again, or it is a 'good idea to be born again'. He said, "Ye must be born again."Your money cannot save you.Your education, your position in society, your connections, or your good looks cannot save you. Where you were born or who your parents are or were cannot save you. Do not allow anyone to lie to you in this regard, nor deceive yourself about the matter of your soul. It is too important to miss the truth of salvation, because it has eternal and everlasting ramifications.

Please do not postpone the decision for Jesus Christ. There is no 'good' time to be saved, there is only a 'now' time for salvation. The decision for Jesus Christ is urgent because you are not promised tomorrow. The Bible declares, "For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the dayofsalvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the dayofsalvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2) It is extremely imperative that you respond to the Lord while you have this opportunity, as this may just be your best and last opportunity to respond to God's Holy Spirit. There are no other ways to be saved and enter Heaven except by Jesus Christ.

An old song of the Church says:

Get right with God
And do it now
Get right with God
And he will show you how.
Kneel down at the cross
Where Jesus shed his blood
Get right with God
Get right, get right with God!

Get right with God
And do it now
Get right with God
And he will show you how.
Kneel down at the cross
Where Jesus shed his blood
Get right with God
Get right, get right with God!

Must Jesus bear
Bear his cross alone
And all the world
All the world go free?
Oh there's a cross
Cross for everyone
And I know
That there's a cross for me.

Get right with God
And do it now
Get right with God
And he will show you how.
Kneel down at the cross
Where Jesus shed his blood
Get right with God
Get right, get right with God!

I heard the voice
Voice of Jesus say
Come unto me
Come unto me and rest
Lay down thou wear'
Weary one lay down
Just your lay your head
Your head upon upon my breast.

Get right with God
And do it now
Get right with God
And he will show you how.
Kneel down at the cross
Where Jesus shed his blood
Get right with God
Get right, get right with God!

Get right with God
And do it now
Get right with God
And he will show you how.
Kneel down at the cross
Where Jesus shed his blood
Get right with God
Get right, get right with God!

Finally, Jesus said "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father." (John 10:9-18)

This is your invitation to come to the good shepherd that has given his life for you. The Psalmist David, a man after God's own heart said "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever." (Psalm 23) Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He took your sin upon himself by willingly going to the cross that you might not die in your sin. As an added benefit to your eternal salvation, he brings a little Heaven here on Earth through his abundant life of having peace, having joy, and having God.

If you will say this short prayer and desire to be born again, God will save you right now wherever you are and regardless of your condition right now. These words will not save you, but if you believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sin and confess with your mouth that He rose from the deadfor your justification, you will be saved today according to the Scriptures."That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." (Revelation 12:10)

Millions have followed this very path and have been gloriously saved with their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life, and so can you! God is not a respecter of persons (meaning, He does not 'play favorites'). "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that fearethHim, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)." (Acts 10:34-36)

What God has done for others, He will do for you today. Your life is too important to have lived on this Earth for any number of years, only to die and go to a devil'sHell! Remember that Jesus says, "Ye must be born again!"

Hal David wrote these words:

In times like these you need a Savior,
In times like these you need an anchor;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One,
This Rock is Jesus, the only One;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

In times like these you need the Bible,
In times like these, O be not idle;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One,
This Rock is Jesus, the only One;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

In times like these I have a Savior,
In times like these I have an anchor;
I'm very sure, I'm very sure
My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One,
This Rock is Jesus, the only One;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

If you will say this prayer with an honest and sincere heart to God, you will be born again, according to the Bible:

"Father, I know that I have broken Your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sin, was raised from the dead for my justification, is alive today, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me to obey You and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

If you prayed this prayer from an honest and sincere heart to God, we want to assure you on the authority of God's Word, that you are born again and have become a child of God.

"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance." (Luke 15:7) And again " Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth." (Luke 15:10)
